How to prepare for your dermal filler appointment?

3 DAYS BEFORE

• Avoid blood thinning medications (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) unless prescribed by your doctor.

• Reduce alcohol intake to lower the risk of bruising.

• Start taking arnica tablets (optional) to help minimise bruising.

• Avoid excess alcohol and caffeine to reduce swelling and bruising.


ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT

• Avoid alcohol and caffeine to minimise bruising and swelling.

• Skip intense workouts or heat exposure (e.g. saunas, hot yoga, tanning).

• Please come with a make-up free if you can, but if not, ill be happy to remove it for you before hand.

• Inform us about any recent procedures, illnesses, or medications.

• Please let us know if you’re prone to fainting before your treatment. Having a light meal an hour before your appointment helps!


BEFORE YOU BOOK, WHO ISNT A CANDIDATE?

Treatment will not be performed if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Have an active or healing coldsore.

• If you’ve taken antibiotics in the past two weeks (not including for skin indications), you’ll need to wait until two weeks after finishing your course before having dermal fillers.

• If you've had any illness in the past 2 weeks (e.g. cough, cold, UTI, gastro), please let us know before your appointment.

• If you've had any vaccines, including the flu or COVID vaccine, in the past two weeks.

• Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if any of the above apply, so we can reschedule your appointment if needed.
